Produktbeschreibung


general information:


  • pH and ORP single rod electrodes are supplied with a protective cap which is filled with a 3 mole KCL solution. The electrodes can be stored up to 1 year in this state. Therefore, the protective cap should only be removed immediately before installation and use.
  • The shaft of the single rod electrodes is made of glass and is fragile. It must necessarily be ensured that the tips do not strike against anything during installation.
  • Due to deviation of the characteristics from the ideal line, for the precise measurements it is necessary to calibrate the electrode at start-up and then in regular time intervals.
  • A combined electrode must not drain at the tip, otherwise it becomes useless. For regeneration the active area of the electrode is immersed into a 3 mole KCL storage solution for approximately 24 hours. After that calibration is necessary, because the zero point and slope may have shifted.
  • In dirty and protein-containing media a cleaning of the electrodes is necessary occasionally. We offer a special cleaning solution for this purpose. The electrodes must be rinsed off with water after cleaning.

important information!
pH and Redox electrodes have a limited service life. This depends on the usage conditions, such as medium, pressure, and temperature, and can vary from a few weeks to several years. There are special cases in which a service life of only a few days can be achieved due to extreme usage conditions. The characteristic curve and adjusting time of the electrode shift due to ageing. The resulting error can be compensated due to a certain degree of ageing by recalibration in combination with downstream electronics (e.g. UNICON-pH converter).

pH and Redox single rod electrodes are consumable articles and not subject to the normal guarantee. No returns or exchanges are accepted.
